About The Role

Trilogy Innovations is seeking a Senior RHEL Engineer / Team Lead that will serve as the technical authority and on-program lead for an enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) replatforming effort supporting a federal customer. The Team Lead designs the target-state Linux and container platform architecture, sets engineering standards, mentors team members, and is accountable for technical delivery across all program milestones. The role combines hands-on senior engineering with team leadership, customer-facing technical communication, and oversight of automation, security, and compliance practices across the platform.

Who You Are

The Senior RHEL Engineer / Team Lead serves as the technical authority and on-program lead for an enterprise Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) replatforming effort supporting a federal customer. You design the target-state Linux and container platform architecture, set engineering standards, mentor team members, and are accountable for technical delivery across all program milestones.
The role combines hands-on senior engineering with team leadership, customer-facing technical communication, and oversight of automation, security, and compliance practices across the platform. You supervise the RHEL Systems Engineer(s), Ansible Automation Engineer, Red Hat Satellite Administrator, and Security Engineer (STIG/SCAP) on the program.

What you will Do

Technical Leadership and Architecture
  • Serve as the technical lead for a multi-engineer Red Hat platform team and own architecture decisions across RHEL, OpenShift, Ansible Automation Platform, Satellite, Identity Management, and virtualization layers.
  • Design and review the target-state platform, including hybrid (on-premises and cloud) deployments, in alignment with NIST 800-53, DISA STIG, and FedRAMP guidance.
  • Lead the build-out and ongoing operation of OpenShift and ROSA clusters, including Advanced Cluster Management (ACM) and Advanced Cluster Security (ACS).
Engineering Standards and Automation Oversight
  • Define standards for Ansible roles, collections, GitOps (ArgoCD) pipelines, and reusable automation content; oversee code quality and Molecule-based testing.
  • Provide engineering oversight for Identity Management (IdM/Keycloak), Satellite content lifecycle, and Red Hat Virtualization (RHV) workloads.
Team Leadership and Customer Engagement
  • Mentor and develop engineers; conduct technical interviews; provide guidance, feedback, and performance input.
  • Partner with the Project Manager and customer technical leads to align engineering work to milestone outcomes and to communicate risks, dependencies, and trade-offs.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for the most complex platform incidents; serve as escalation point for the engineering team.

How Success is Measured

Success is defined by delivering a secure, scalable RHEL platform while leading the team to meet program milestones.

You will be successful if you:

  • Deliver target-state architecture aligned to program and compliance requirements
  • Lead technical execution across all milestones (M1–M6)
  • Ensure successful deployment and operation of OpenShift and Red Hat platforms
  • Establish strong engineering and automation standards

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 05/31/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
